The Caucasus Institute for Peace, Democracy and Development (CIPDD) is a public policy think-tank, specialized in a broad area of democracy development. The CIPDD was founded in 1992 in Tbilisi, Georgia, and is a non-governmental and not-for-profit organisation. It advocates policy goals such as the development of a vibrant and diverse civil society, effective and accountable public institutions based on the rule of law, and an integrated political community that respects and preserves the identities of different ethnic and religious communities within Georgia.

Women’s Participation in Community Development – Experience and Challenges in Four Regions of Georgia
Community development is one of the aspects of civil society building and economic development in Georgia. International as well as local non-governmental organizations maintain their interventions in this field. According to experts, achievements as well as shortcomings are featuring these interventions. One of the problems mentioned in relation to community mobilization is linked to women’s participation in the process...

In September-November, at a meeting with the initiative groups of the project "Participatory and sustainable development of Rural communities in Georgia", the participants discussed the community initiatives to be implemented and new opportunities for civic engagement. Participants: Dilifa and Ashtia Village (Ninotsminda Municipality, Riketi Village (Khulo Municipality), Kokotauri Village (Keda Municipality), Khospio, Shuakhevi and Rateani Villages. The project "Participatory and sustainable development of Rural communities in Georgia" is funded by'"Bread for the World".
