Description:
Aim – The aim of program is to strengthen capacity of policy centers as well as future leaders of country in the field of policy analysis, particularly in producing policy research and analysis. At the same time, it aims at transferring experience of Poland in selected public policy areas and facilitate contacts between academic and nongovernmental institutions of two countries.
Target groups – civil society actors, including NGO’s, research institutions, representatives of academia, graduate level students, journalists, government officials and administrative staff, political party’s activists.
Main activities – Eight researchers, representatives of public sector and or journalist will be selected to participate in program. Participants of program will conduct a research and prepare a policy paper under the supervision of Polish tutor. The topic of research and final paper will be the lessons, which could be learned from polish experience in different fields of public policy. Participants of the program will be brought for 12-day study visit to Warsaw. During this visit, they will have an opportunity to discuss topic and content of their research with polish tutor and experts of selected field. During the study trip, they will also have an opportunity to collect necessary materials. In addition, trainings on the management of research process or other relevant issues will be offered to them. After returning to Georgia fellows are expected to complete their policy papers and send the first version to the mentors. After the final draft version will be agreed with mentors, papers will be submitted to IPA, translated into Georgian and published. Fellows will make at least one presentation of their work during the event organised by CIPDD. Duration of whole program is four month.
