The 6th season of the World Religions Club has begun! On March 15th, the first lecture for the club was held. The lecture`s guest speaker was Professor of Philosophy at Ilia State University, Levan Gigineishvili, and the theme of the lecture was `The Importance of Religion to the Faithful and to Atheists`.

The Caucasus Institute for Peace, Democracy, and Development and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation`s `Political Dialogue in the South Caucasus` program are beginning the World Religions Club`s 6th season! In the course of the next 5 months, the participants will have the opportunity to learn about the world’s most widespread religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc.) by attending lectures by specialists, and by meeting the representatives of different religions.

Meetings for the ‘Initiative for Local Development’ project were organised by the CIPDD and were held from January 27-29th. The projects seeks to contribute to livelihood improvement and reduction of poverty in four regions of Georgia:Adjara, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Shida Kartli, Kvemo Kartli through community mobilization around local problem analysis, as well as by developing and implementing specific problem solving skills. The donor for the project is the organisation `Brot für die Welt/Bread for the World`.
