! We, the citizens of Georgia, are categorically opposed to the draft law initiated by members of the parliamentary majority on agents of foreign influence, for which the chairman of the parliament and other members of the majority expressed their support. We believe that the attempt to adopt this Russian law is directed not only against free civil society organizations and critical media, but also             against the population of Georgia.

The Influence of the Russian Invasion in Ukraine on the Georgian Politics

 

The Russian war against Ukraine is still underway but whatever its outcome, it will have a lasting effect on regional and global politics. In the case of Georgia, the impact may be especially big. There is an expectation in the Georgian society that the war will greatly affect Georgia’s international positioning as well as its domestic political situation. It is too early to discuss the long-term results of the war. This paper tries to assess the influence that it has already exerted on Georgia.

The Club of World Religions was established in 2012 in Tbilisi in partnership with the Caucasus Institute for Peace, Democracy and Development (CIPDD) and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS). It is a meeting place where people gather and listen to lectures on the history of the world's most common religions.
