On June 25–26, 2026, the CIPDD, in cooperation with the School of Transnational Governance of the European University Institute (Florence) and LUISS Guido Carli University (Rome), organized a conference on the topic, "How Can Europe Border Russia?" For a Grassroots Perspective of the Borderlands. The School of Transnational Governance hosted the conference. Experts from the EU and the European Partnership (EaP) countries took part. Before the conference, several experts from EaP countries produced short discussion papers that can be found here.

Over the years, the Caucasus Institute has fostered an environment where knowledge was not simply accumulated experience, but an ongoing process of dialogue, questioning, and the emergence of new perspectives. I wish this space to remain a place for free thought, collaboration, and creative exploration for many years to come.
